Oh, The People That You Meet!

I have been having one of those amazing weeks when everything is happening at once. In the midst of all of the preparation for Spirit Theatre I attended the Apachecon convention. Why would a magician go to a geeky technical conference like that? Well, the truth is that the magician, deep inside, is a geeky technical guy and that he uses these things to help express his art. I'm not the only one who has chosen a lighter path but benefits from a technical background.

At Apachecon I met Howard Tayler, the author of on-line cartoon "Schlock Mercenary." Howard gave an amazing keynote about his own journey from a safe and stable job to doing what he really loves.
