One Thing And Another
Last night was a strange and wonderful combination of events.
First, I was asked to do one of the most unusual and beautiful things I have done for some time. A friend of mine asked me to participate in his wedding. He didn't want me to do a show or make the bride and groom disappear. He wanted me to come as a wizard and tell the story of how he and his wife met. What an honor! In interviewed them over dinner a while back and walked away with 5-6 pages of notes. From those notes I wove a tale about the miracles that brought them together. I went as a true wizard, with painted face and staff of power, and literally invoked the start of wedding. After I was done the bride and groom came out and the official ceremony began.
It was amazing to invoke the pure powers of story-telling for such a special event. I received several comments from people who were moved by the tale and appreciated what we did.
After that it was off to the Wild Basin for our 10:00 opening of Spirit Theatre. We had a great audience including a few exchange students. We had some wonderful moments of messages from the spirits and some real screams during the seance.
How amazing to bounce between such diverse things. How lucky to be able to do these things. I am truly grateful.
